SCOPE & MAIN PURPOSE

Gleddoch, one of the most prestigious hotel, golf and spa resorts located in Renfrewshire is recruiting full time Food & Beverage Assistants to join our existing team. Gleddoch is a 70-bedroom hotel, golf course, luxurious spa with food and beverage outlets. We already have our VISTA restaurant with spectacular views, food created by a team of expert chefs so all we need now are amazing people to complement the delightful surroundings! We want to hear from people who have a genuine interest in food, drinks, polished cutlery and sparkling glasses. Applications are welcome from candidates who have an eye for detail and can turn a normal experience into a exceptional experience for clientele that choose to dine and drink in any of our outlets. The role of a Food & Beverage Assistant will only appeal to people who can perfect the art of communication. Good communication skills are essential to ensure that the food orders given to you by guests are given correctly to the team of chefs. Multi-tasking is key to ensuring your section is run efficiently, therefore, this role will appeal to people who can work well under pressure and are able to deal with several events at the same time. You will be in full view to our guests, therefore you need to have an excellent persona. The main duties will be welcoming guests to the restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch & dinner, gaining an excellent knowledge of cuisine, drinks and wine. The most important part of the role will be providing excellent guest service; therefore, applicants are welcome only from candidates who can liaise well with people and truly have a passion for delivering fabulous hospitality.
 

GENERAL:

  • Comply with the company codes of conduct at all times.
  • Familiarise yourself with the company policies and procedures plus employee handbook and lead by example in demonstrating behaviours that we expect all employees to display.
  • Perform other tasks at the level of the role as directed by your line manager in pursuit of the achievement of business goals.
  • Have the desire and ability to improve your knowledge and abilities through on-going training and development.
  • Ability to work as part of a diverse team with colleagues from different viewpoints, cultures and countries.
  • Produce reports as required/requested by your line manager.
  • Attend business reviews/board meetings as appropriate and actively contribute to all internal meetings.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding and awareness of all policies and procedures relating to health, hygiene and fire safety.
  • Familiarise yourself with emergency and evacuation procedures.

Ideally the successful candidate will have experience working in a Hotel accounts department and have a good understanding of the operational procedures throughout a hotel business.
