We are a leading independent hotel group located in the heart of London. Our hotel is a classic mixture of traditional comfort and modern facilities offering 4 star and 5 star accommodations with impeccable services to our guests in some of the best locations in the capital.

We have currently an excellent opportunity for a talented Head Chef with a passion for developing and expanding culinary talents to join our professional team at Grange Hotel based in Bracknell.

The ideal candidates should be polite, friendly with good customer service skills. Previous experience in similar role is desirable.

General Functions:

To plan, direct and participate in the preparation, cooking and presentation of breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, room service and other meals to a consistently high standard, on a regular basis, as well as for special guests, groups and functions. Work to provide a unique culinary experience to clients.

To order supplies and maintain optimum stock while maintaining cost control targets.

To create and price menus together with the F&B manager.

  • Ensure all food complies with consistently highest standards of quality, taste and presentation.
  • Plan meals together with F&B management staff and order ingredients accordingly.
  • Ensure the variety and appropriateness of menus.
  • Continuously source new recipes and apply them creatively in the development of new menus.
  • Oversee and participate in the preparation, cooking and presentation of meals.
  • Ensure that all meals are served in a timely and professional manner.
  • Set up standards and procedures in the kitchen and monitor their implementation.
  • Identify training needs and conduct necessary training.
  • Actively assist in developing and updating of staff cooking skills and overall knowledge of the job.
  • Exercise effective stock and waste control.
  • Maintain optimum levels of kitchen inventory.
  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment is in good working order and complying with safety standards.
