Chef de Rang - Hipping Hall, Kirkby

Hipping Hall is a three AA Rosetted Restaurant with Rooms, located in Cowan Bridge near Kirkby Lonsdale, and was recently named the Best Hotel Restaurant in England by the Food Awards England.

Head Chef Oli Martin’s modern British cooking style and creative techniques are inspired by his love of local produce, which he sources from across Lancashire, Cumbria and Yorkshire.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated Chef de Rang, who we anticipate will have worked in a similar role within the hospitality industry. You will be a team player, have excellent communication skills and attention to detail to deliver outstanding quality and service.

Main duties & responsibilities:

  • Share and deliver an amazing food experience to our guests
  • Engage with guests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner
  • To ensure the company’s reputation for excellent service is maintained always
  • Working to a high standard
  • Possess an in-depth knowledge of menu and all products
  • Ensure food and beverage orders are of a consistently good standard and delivered in a timely manor
  • Maintain high personal standards to include uniform dress code, cleanliness and personal hygiene
  • Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in a similar level food and beverage department and/or industry
  • Previous experience of cash handling
  • Knowledge of Food Hygiene Regulations
