Head Chef - The Solent Hotel & Spa 

An exciting opportunity for a Head Chef to work in a quality Hotel group with a strong focus on outstanding food, service and hospitality.

Who are we looking for? 

We are looking for a ‘real foodie‘ with drive and fabulous attention to detail to be our Head Chef. 

If you are currently a Head Chef, or possibly a Sous Chef ready for the move up, then this is a great opportunity for you!

Reporting into the Executive Head Chef, you will take responsibility for all aspects of the day to day running of the kitchen, including: 

Ordering and preparing food

4th Payroll – internal wages electronic payroll system

Departmental costs & budgets

Training, mentoring and developing staff

Creating rotas

Stock control

Controlling the financial performance of the kitchen area

Health & Safety standards

This is a very practical and hands on role, in a thriving business, and our teams need to manage high levels of guests served across our operational areas. Maintaining and serving quality food must always be achieved, and our Head Chef will lead the team to achieve these standards and also possess the skills to motivate the kitchen team to deliver service across multiple outlets in the Hotel.

 If you have a natural drive for excellence, with the ability to prepare foods to a high standard and possess good management skills, we'd like to hear from you. Previous experience in this or a similar role is essential.
