Fitness and Wellbeing Advisor - Kent
With a passion for helping people improve their health, you'll be a real asset to the happy, healthy team at our Fitness and Wellbeing Club. As our Fitness and Wellbeing Advisor you'll always deliver exceptional customer service, whether motivating members, giving personal training, teaching classes or administering payments.
At Nuffield Health, we do what we do because we love it. Health and wellbeing is our passion. That's why we've developed a unique approach to connected healthcare. With a network spanning hospitals, clinics and medical centres, Fitness and Wellbeing Clubs, and specialist services including physiotherapy, we offer people something truly special: a holistic, personalised approach to a healthier life. As Britain's largest not for profit healthcare provider, we reinvest every penny in developing our services and our people.
Bring your passion to our friendly team and you'll discover that our big plans for change and growth include lots of support for your professional development.
Supervising the fitness floor, you'll offer help and support with exercise programmes and techniques, and give advice on training and lifestyle. In the varied role of Fitness and Wellbeing Advisor, you'll deliver group exercise and circuits-based classes - everything from spin to Les Mils. Crucially, you will promote and carry out our unique Health MOT - a health assessment that enables members to work towards manageable personal goals, and empowers them to make changes to their health and fitness. What's more, your varied role will take you beyond the Club, to deliver great work and build brilliant relationships in venues including schools and the offices of our corporate clients.
As a qualified fitness instructor, you'll hold a Premier/Lifetime Diploma or equivalent. A sports science degree or HND is desirable. You'll certainly have a strong fitness background, including swimming skills. Experience of working in a corporate or commercial fitness environment, and of handling money, is also essential. You'll need to be a competent computer user with excellent written and oral communication skills. Driven and passionate about all aspects of fitness and wellbeing, you'll take an enthusiastic and flexible approach. You'll be a self-starter, able to work on your own initiative, and have a good eye for detail.
Like us, you put people first. You'll take the time to understand each individual client's needs and how to help them achieve their goals, whether they're recovering from an operation or training for a marathon.
We want you to be the best you can be. So we promise to support you with training, career development and our unique health and wellbeing focused benefits package. This includes free membership of your local Fitness and Wellbeing Club, private healthcare and an annual health assessment, as well as a range of lifestyle and financial wellbeing benefits. We want to help you live well and get the balance right in life, so we'll give you 25 days' holiday in your first years here - and we'll reward you with more annual leave for building your career with us.
