This newly created role will suit someone who enjoys imbedding standards through coaching and supporting others.

The Regional Field Support Chef will be a hands-on role, coaching and supporting teams to deliver and embed Food Production and Operational Standards within our kitchens on park. This person will report into the Head of Food Development, be part of the Food and Beverage Support team, but will also have crucial strong relationships with the Operations Directors, General Managers, Food and Beverage Managers, Restaurant Managers and Head Chefs of their designated Parks.

They will have a strong presence on parks, working with teams to identify opportunities to improve the business through strong coaching of Food Production and Kitchen Operational Standards and driving excellence in embedding these standards as we move forward. They will also support with the identification and development of future talent.

This is a field based role where the majority of your time will be with the park teams you're supporting and will require flexibility to work across all days and all day parts as the needs of the business require. This could involve weekends and evenings.

Reporting to the Head of Food Development, key responsibilities will include:

Visiting parks and supporting Head Chefs and their teams to implement and embed Food Production and Kitchen Operational Standards, through on the job coaching, feedback and following up to ensure everyone is engaged in their role and delivering a strong performance

Making recommendations on the running of Kitchens, specifically around delivery of Food Production and Operational Standards, team performance, and any other potential changes required to help the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen

Working with the Food Development Team and Head Chefs to ensure the successful launch of new menus conforming with the agreed specifications as posted on our recipe database, StarChef

Assisting in the creation of Food Production and Kitchen Operational Standards and the tools / materials to support delivery on park

Working closely with the Head of Food Development, Operations Directors & Retail Support Team to identify and support struggling or failing kitchens. You'll need to be a part of the coaching team to return business to normal trading, providing feedback and advice to General Managers and Food and Beverage Managers

Supporting developments and new openings ensuring that the managers and team are fully trained prior to the opening in the Kitchen / Food specifics and statutory requirements.

Listening to feedback from teams and identifying opportunities for simplification and continuous improvement of the operation

Advocating good stock control management, following the Bourne Leisure policy and supporting park teams with corrective actions required for stock variances

Ensuring that the team are aware of the appropriate tools and resources for the job, enabling them to deliver exceptional service standards

Following the company Health and Safety Policy including COSHH, and fire drill procedures as well as ensuring appropriate working rotas are in place and observed, thereby providing safe and secure environments

Assisting in the creation of a rewarding career path for our teams who work in our kitchens, and assisting in the creation of the necessary core skills program

Supporting Head Chefs in identifying future talent and supporting their development to create a pipeline of future talent ensuring there are succession plans for all Kitchen key player positions

Monitor and review all newly appointed Head Chef roles in the region, and ensuring that they have access to the required levels of on job training

The Successful Candidate:

Should have a minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role

Formal Chef qualification desirable. Food Safety Level 3 or equivalent is essential

A forward thinking 'people person' with ability to inspire trust and influence others

Should possess solid judgement and the ability to make good decisions

Have an ability to learn through experience and question systems, processes and procedures to look for improvements

Be resilient under pressure, as things can change very quickly and you'll need to act fast and still make sound decisions

Be super organised, with a large number of parks to support, an ability to create order and structure is essential

Be able to drive. This role is field based and involves getting out around the parks in the region.

Present yourself in a manner that reflects the high standards of hygiene and appearance we deliver to our customers and in keeping with the company grooming standards

Must have flexibility towards working hours and ability to travel when needed

Must have strong HACCP and food safety compliance knowledge
