Role Title:           Deputy Manager

Reporting to:     General Manager  

Role Objective

You will be working as the Deputy Manager in this classically styed hotel.  Opened on Queen Victoria’s coronation day in June 1838.  The Royal Bath Hotel was the first hotel in Bournemouth and embodies the finest traditions of first class comfort and hospitality. 

This role would suit an existing Hotel Deputy General Manager working in a 100+ bedroom hotel or a Hotel Head of Department with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.

Main Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the control of all operational departments on a daily basis
  • Deputise for the General Manager in his absence
  • Work closely with the Management team to ensure high quality service levels are delivered
  • Ensure effective communication between all departments
  • Ensure that rotas are prepared and controlled in line with business requirements and company standards
  • This list is not exhaustive and you may be asked to do other duties as and when required.

 Person Specification

  • Experienced in all aspects of a large hotel operation
  • Have some conference and banqueting experience
  • Able to relate to and respond effectively to customer needs.
  • Proven record of developing and controlling effective teams.
