Job Introduction:
Tesco Maintenance are currently recruiting for a Drainage Technician in Northampton area to join our Building Services Team. This person will perform reactive and planned maintenance tasks where directed throughout the Tesco estate including Stores, Distribution Centres, Regional Offices and Head Offices. The role requires experience of working on sewage and wastewater pipelines and systems within the Facilities Management, HVAC, Building Services and Refrigeration Sectors. 
Proven experience of clearing drains and blockages and accurate identification of any remedial works is essential. It is expected that this person will be confident and competent with using CCTV, High Pressure Water Jetting and Mechanical Coring Equipment.

Main Responsibilities:
Safely and efficiently, install, maintain and repair drainage assets within the Tesco Estate.
Undertake reactive and planned works across the Tesco Estate.
Conduct root cause analysis of Drainage issues encountered.
Respond in a timely manner to verbal and written requests.
Adopt a proactive approach to colleague and customer liaison and ensure any concerns are dealt with or relayed to your line management promptly.
Identify areas for additional works within and outside of your attended works. Maintain all personal and vehicle records in accordance with company operating procedures.
Complete any expense claims for overtime and fuel in a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with company procedures.
On-going updates of current job status to our National Operations Centre and/or your Line Manager.
Ensure job closures are completed in timely manner.
Submit holiday requests in a timely manner.
Report sickness absence in accordance with company procedure.
Report accidents in a timely manner.
Comply with reasonable requests for information from HSQE Manager.
Carry out duties in accordance with Tesco Maintenance & Engineering Health and Safety Policy, statutory legislation and company operating procedures.
Report any unsafe activities and risks promptly to our National Operations Centre and/or your line Manager.
Ensure that you have correct training before starting your task and have completed the appropriate risk assessment.

The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
Experience of working within a customer focussed environment
Good knowledge and experience of drainage configurations, below and above ground including internal drainage systems
Experience of using CCTV, High Pressure Water Jetting and Mechanical Coring Equipment
Experience of Hand Held Terminals for work flow management
Production of reports for remedial works or asset condition surveys/PPM's
Confined Space Entry trained (qualification must be indate)
High Pressure Water Jetting trained (qualification must be indate)
PASMA trained (qualification must be indate)
Full Driving License
Desirable experience: 
Experience of Pump Station maintenance/repair
Patch Lining
