IT Project Manager - Hemel - Support Centre

Our Support Centre based in Hemel is a central bustling hub of Parkdean Resorts. This exciting place to work houses all the essential supporting functions for our 73 holiday parks along with our award winning Telemarketing team.

This modern office has a great feel, a mix of energetic knowledgeable professionals all working as one unified team to achieve Parkdean Resorts objectives. Based 30 minutes from London, it has great transport links.

Role Overview

Take a lead senior role in managing and running the IT Project programme. This requires an effective leader with exceptional organisational and project management skills as well as the ability to communicate at all levels of an enterprise. The PMO is a new offering inside Parkdean Resorts, this role offers a rare and exciting opportunity to shape and build this function from the ground up.

Person attributes

• Qualified PRINCE2 practitioner
• Comfortable using Microsoft Project
• Understanding of project management methodologies, including SCRUM and AGILE
• Experience with running complex, interconnected programmes with many moving parts
• Be able to work under pressure in a fast paced, challenging environment
• Logical, evidence driven approach to solving complex issues
• Self-motivated, pro-active with a can-do attitude determined to succeed in own and teams goals
• Self-confident to be able to report at all levels of business
• Demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for delivering
• Able to deliver high quality work
• Have the ability to travel as required, especially to Newcastle

Key responsibilities

• Ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
• Own project roadmap and financials, comfortable presenting to senior business leaders
• Coordinating internal resources and third parties / vendors
• Ensuring resource availability and allocation
• Produce accurate and relevant reporting to stakeholders
• To be an integral member of the IT Team
• Build exceptional relationships across Parkdean Resorts
• Ensure proper handover and documentation
• Participate in IT Oncall Rota if required (management, not technical perspective)

Technical Understanding

Whilst specific technical knowledge is not required, this role would benefit from an appreciation of:

• Microsoft Technology stack
• Networking principles and topologies (WAN and WiFi)
• Software development lifecycle (.NET preferable)
