Project Manager - Mechanical and Electrical - Chiswick

Up to 55K 

I am looking for a Project Manager with a strong Mechanical and Electrical background to take responsibility for a large commercial estate in Chiswick, West London.  You will be tasked with ensuring the highest levels of operational performance throughout the estate ensuring by leading on projects and delivering technical expertise and support on the mechanical and electrical elements involved in maintaining and advancing its development..

Responsibilities will include:

  • Technical support to the business in line with the engineering service provision
  • Contract management/ support linked with the principle engineering contractor and also outside of their role
  • Statutory compliance of all areas of engineering services, incorporating landlord insurance inspections and external audit and assessment requirements
  • Additional support in other compliance checks carried out throughout the various buildings and estate
  • Management of tenant license applications, wayleave processes
  • Act as the point of liaison for and authorisation of fit-out companies
  • Audits/inspections of engineering services, plant and overall operation in line with company standards and matrix
  • Leading on standards and procedures for M&E across the estate
  • Availability on-call (out of hours) as required by emergency procedures and disaster recovery plan
  • Project management aligned to the annual and strategic business plans, including implementation & reporting
  • Analysis, review and production (where required) of engineering reports
  • Liaison and relationship management with the Engineering Service Partner (contractor) in conjunction with Operations Manager and Operations Director
  • Leading on energy saving for the business in line with the overall  plan
  • Leading on utility management, reporting and analysis
  • Manage and lead on continuous review of the asset management, and building/ estate lifecycle business plans to ensure they continue to be sustainable: relevant, current, and financially viable
  • Financial accountability: project & engineering related budgets / support & ownership on other service charge related budgets as required

We are keen to talk to candidates who are self-starters who  thrive on ownership and innovation, and have previous experience in large-scale property management. You will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Extensive M&E experience/ knowledge with a strong engineering background
  • IOSH/ NEBOSH certification and ideally a PRINCE2 certification or equivalent
  • Proven organisational and end-to-end project management skills
  • Ability to manage changing priorities with a flexible approach
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – written and verbal  with strong IT skills

In return my client is offering a highly competitive basic salary of up to £55K, BUPA healthcare with an excellent pension scheme with a  company contribution of 8%.
