The Position

Retallack Resort is currently recruiting a Food & Beverage Manger to come and join our busy front of house team. Reporting to the General Manger you will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of The Lookout Restaurant and lounge, while delivering a five star service to guests and maximising revenue. 

Responsibilities

  • To ensure targets are achieved in sales, costs, payroll and GP percentages
  • To promote the Food & Beverage offering via effective sales and marketing to achieve income targets
  • Anticipate guest needs in order to enhance the quality of service and in turn the guest satisfaction. To deliver a high standard of service while creating a relaxed and inviting atmosphere
  • Set and manage departmental targets and objectives, staff rota’s, budgets, and policies and procedures
  • Lead the front of house team by effectively recruiting, training, managing rota’s and shift patterns for the restaurant and lounge
  • Implement F&B training plans for all front of house staff
  • Proactively develop the Food & Beverage Team for succession planning
  • Carry out health and safety duties in accordance with the company’s health and safety policy
  • To work closely with other areas of the business to generate and maximise sales (annual events/promotions)
  • Have overall responsibility for the stock control of both Food & Beverage ensuring that budgeted margins are delivered on a monthly basis, stock rotation is carried out and wastage is minimised
  • Ensure cash ups, reconciliations and analysis are completed at the end of each day
  • Full ownership of guest feedback reporting and appropriate complaint resolution procedures

The Person

  • Must be able to work as part of a team as well as working on your own initiative
  • Should have the ability to lead, motivate and train a team of staff
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Must be results driven and customer focused
  • Should have excellent customer service skills
  • Pervious management experience within the hospitality industry in a similar role is essential
