We are the Alton Towers Resort and we are part of the magical Merlin Entertainments!

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Night Manager to join us at the Alton Towers Resort, the UK's only attraction that specialises in making Britain happy!  We're looking for enthusiastic people to join us for the exciting opening of our brand new CBeebies Land Hotel!

As our Assistant Night Manager you'll be jointly responsible for leading a team of Night Porters, dealing with customer queries in an efficient and professional manner, ensuring we meet and exceed all of our customers expectations.  A seamless handover from the day team to the night team is a key part of our service.  The Nights team are responsible for the entire Hotels operation during the night, which includes ensuring the Hotels are spotlessly clean ready for the next morning.

This position is very hands on as well as having administration duties which you will need to be able to balance on a daily basis.  As it's a front facing role, you'll always be in amongst the guest experience ensuring the best levels of customer service are delivered across the site.  It's a great role if you like problem solving, thinking on your feet and getting a buzz out of seeing people enjoying themselves.  It's a quirky environment unlike any other hotel business out there, so if it's 'different' you like, submit an application.

 

You will work 5 nights out of 7, including bank holidays and weekends.

 

We are looking for the following skills and experience:

  • Previous reception, customer service or duty management experience in a hotel environment

  • Previous experience working nights is a definite advantage

  • Your man management skills will be top notch, as will your ability to communicate to your team, colleagues and guests alike.

The role is full time, permanent, averaging 40 hours per week and will include weekends and bank holidays as required.  Roles will commence in June 2017.
