Part Time Duty Manager - Skyliner Sports Centre

24 hours per week - £18,000 per annum pro-rata

Abbeycroft Leisure is managing the brand new dual use leisure facilities on the same site as the new Sybil Andrews Academy.  We’re looking for a Part-Time Duty Manager to join the team at the new Sports Centre which boasts excellent facilities including a 45 station gym, main hall, 3G all weather pitch and 2 studios for exercise classes, including Les Mills and Les Mills Virtual.  The gym comprises of cardio machines with entertainment, resistance machines, free weights and functional training equipment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed leisure professional looking for a step onto the management ladder.  As a Duty Manager you will report to the Sports Centre Manager on site and carry out a range of operational duties including ensuring the efficient day to day operation of the Centre, front of house reception duties, general Health & Safety duties, supervision and staff training. As a Duty Manager, you would be responsible for opening or closing the building, and work on a shift pattern likely to be similar to that shown below.

We are looking for a strong team player with great communication skills, and some key holder and supervisory experience would be desirable. A current First Aid at Work certificate would be desirable. A fitness Level 2 gym instructor qualification would be desirable. You will need to be able to provide excellent customer service, have the ability to work on your own initiative and have a flexible approach to a busy and varied working environment.

Working hours will be based on a shift pattern involving a mix of weekdays and weekends covering daytime and evenings

• Tuesday: 18.15-22.15
• Wednesday: Off Thursday: Off
• Friday: Off
• Saturday: 07.45-18.15
• Sunday: 07.45-18.15

Week 2

• Monday: Off
• Tuesday: Off
• Wednesday: 16.15-22.15
• Thursday: 16.15-22.15
• Friday: 16.15-22.15
• Saturday: Off
• Sunday: Off
