Personal Trainer
Salary from £9.00 per hour to £35
If you want to be a Personal Trainer, you are in luck as there is a great deal of choice in terms of where and how you do it. Roles are available on Cruise Ships as well as in Health Clubs and Leisure Centres. A qualification will be required but there is the potential for high earnings.
Personal Trainers provide individual programmes for clients to help them achieve their personal health and fitness goals. As a personal trainer your work with clients would start with a consultation to determine their fitness level, health history and aims. You would then:
- Set realistic short and long term goals and research, develop and advise appropriate programmes
- Educate, motivate and coach clients on a one to one basis
- Advise clients on health, nutrition and lifestyle
- Monitor and record the client’s progress using measures such as body fat levels and heart rate
To be a personal trainer you need to have a high level of experience and advanced qualifications.
