Commis Waiter

We are looking for a Commis Waiter to join the Food and Beverage team working with our F&B Manager, Restaurant Manager and  Head Waiters plus team of 16 running our Michelin starred Dining Room and our less formal Grey’s Brasserie.

The role of Commis will commence learning  mise en place before working mostly in Grey’s.  This role has lots of scope for promotion!

Since the hotel reopening in 2003, our Dining Room was won two Michelin Stars, we have 4 AA rosettes and have recently been awarded 8 out of 10 in The Good Food Guide.

The team covers the following operations:

  • The Dining Room - 40 covers, open from Wednesday to Sunday dinner only, with tasting menu
  • Grey’s Brassiere -50 covers, open 7 days a week lunch and dinner offering a lunch and a la carte menu
  • Small private dining room - up to 30 covers offering various party menus
  • Afternoon tea - 20 covers, open 7 days a week.
  • Hotel lounge menus
  • Corporate events, exclusive use events and weddings of all sizes
  • Room service menu
  • Wine, champagne, cookery masterclass and other hotel promotional events throughout the year

Skills and experience:

  • Stable cv with waiting experience.
  • Ability to communicate with team in a professional manner
  • A reasonable level of English, both written and spoken
