All our Sales People receive training which is accredited by the Institute for Sales and Marketing Management (ISMM), with full support from our in-house Sales Training Team.

The gig….

  • You will be responsible for generating prospects and members through building relationships both inside and outside the club. It’s a role where your impressive understanding of the local market and your engaging personality will have every chance to shine, by networking with business and local organisations, promoting your Health Club and the brand.

  • Be pro-active to contribute the highest sales performance level in order for the membership sales team as a whole to achieve the minimum requirement of a monthly budget performance.

  • Product knowledge Is essential in the role so working with all departments within your club Is key to upskill yourself .

  • Support and work with marketing strategies, KPI’s and initiatives throughout the club; whilst liaising with all other departments (particularly fitness) to integrate the selling process with the prospect/member.

  • Attend and work in accordance to our Virgin Active Sales Academy Training Programme. To be responsible for own development and hit the ground running in new initiatives.

  • Deliver excellent customer service to our new and existing members at all times. Being an ambassador of the brand by wearing the uniform and selling with integrity to our Virgin brand standards

What we can’t live without…

You’re a team player, well organised and an excellent communicator, comfortable building rapport with regular visitors and creating a First Class impression.

  • Strong communication skills and experience in a customer facing environment, able to respond appropriately & professionally to everyone you interact with in all manners, including face to face, over the phone & via email.

  • Previous experience of working in a fast paced environment, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and work politely and efficiently in all situations.

  • Excellent organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail and strong numeracy & literacy skills.

  • Proficiency in using a computer with the confidence to learn new systems & databases quickly.

Your commitment….

This role is FULL TIME, working 40+ per week. Flexibility is required to meet the needs of the business; specific shift patterns include earlies (9am -6pm) & lates (12pm-9pm) and weekends (9am-6pm) & lates (10am-7pm).
