All Tom’s Kitchens are buzzy and friendly, informed yet informal, we always provide a warm welcome and make sure our guests leave with and smile and wanting to return.
We are looking for outstanding individuals to help us make this happen. As Tom Aikens says: “Without a good team, we are nothing”.

As Receptionist, we are looking for a passionate and bubbly person who can confidently deliver exceptional service to our guests.

You will have a real pride and passion for what you do, with the ability to build rapport and long term relationships with our guests. You will work closely with the management team to maximise service delivery opportunities and in turn, ensure the continued success of the restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a big personality and be really enjoying a lively evening venue.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Availability to work late nights and weekends

  • Knowledgeable and passionate about food and beverage

  • Demonstrate knowledge of open table or a similar reservation system.

  • Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations

  • Confident, professional and committed to providing excellent service to all customers

  • Good communicator

  • Able to work under pressure and multi task particularly during peak hours and extended period of increased business

  • Comfortable interacting and engaging in conversation

  • Maintains a sense of organization and ability to prioritize in a busy environment

  • Ability to multi-task

General Duties

  • To be the first point of contact for all Tom’s Kitchen clientele, using excellent customer service skills and ensuring guests are dealt with in a polite, pleasant and professional manner at all times.

  • To build and maintain a positive relationship with guests.

  • To work with the rest of the team to ensure guests’ needs are correctly met.

  • To have a full understanding of all menus and promotions to be able to sell TK to the best of ability.

  • To have a high standard of personal presentation, to adhere to the correct dress code and to be punctual at all times.

  • To have a flexible attitude, excellent attention to detail and to be willing to take on tasks as necessary when required from time to time by your Managers.

  • Ensure the Health & Safety rules are adhered to.

  • Ensure that all reservations are dealt with efficiently with relevant information taken accurately, requests entered clearly into Open Table and all detail communicated to the Operations Team.
