Entertainments Team Leader - Seasonal

We are THORPE PARK Resort and we are part of the magical Merlin Entertainments!

We are scouting for a talented Team Leader to join the Resort Entertainments & Events team on a seasonal basis. This role is an exciting opportunity for an Entertainments professional to join the team to lead and deliver a wide range of Entertainments and Events across the Island for different audiences.

This is a role like no other, where you will be leading a team of Actors and Hosts to deliver attractions such as IM A CELEBRITY GET ME OUT OF HERE and ANGRY BIRDS 4D EXPERIENCE. Additionally you will be immersed in delivering a new terrifying destination in conjunction with other departments in DERREN BROWNS GHOST TRAIN. On top of all of that you will be a lead player in FRIGHT NIGHTS, MINISTRY OF SOUND and other seasonal compelling events throughout the year.

Reporting into the Assistant Entertainments Manager you will deliver the daily operation under their direction. You will be an ambassador to the team delivering, supervising and maintaining exceptional performance standards, creating island moments, ensuring that the team are managed in line with departmental and Resort standards. Health & Safety will be a core focus and you will ensure the team buy into the standards ensuring it complements the activity and runs in synergy. In addition you will have a key eye on balancing performance and operational demands across all offerings. As the departmental Daily Duty Manager you will be accountable for all Entertainments offerings and show a strong presence on the Resort.

We are looking for the following skills and experience;

• Supervisory or Team Leader experience in an Entertainments / Show environment.
• Working Health & Safety knowledge of attractions and events.
• Customer focused.
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills.
• Creativity and innovation.

The rate of pay is £8.85/hour and is full time role throughout the season averaging 40 hours per week and will include weekends, bank holidays, early mornings and late nights as required. The contract is offered until the end of the season on 1^st November 2017.
