The Role: Shift Engineer 

We are looking to fill the position of shift engineer who enjoys being part of an independent establishment with excellent communication skills and a hands on approach to the business.   Successful candidate must hold a city & guilds or NVQ qualification in electrical, plumbing.

You must have a positive attitude of working as part of a team and the flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations at short notice.  You must have the ability to work on own initiative. 

The main responsibilities of a Shift Engineer are listed below:

• Liaise with Housekeeping to coordinate and prioritise maintenance activities
• Respond to all enquiries promptly throughout all departments   
• Carry out maintenance repair work and ensure the appropriate PPE is worn during all repairs
• Follow and implement planned preventative maintenance programs PPM in accordance with property requirements.
• Ensure good relationships with internal and external customers and contractors
• Follow C.O.S.H.H regulations, in particular the storage of hazardous substance

The successful candidate must have previous experience in 4/5 Star hotel operations. You'll be involved with achieving ongoing high standards and guest satisfaction.
