Assistant Night Manager (Full Time) - Shrigley Hall Hotel Golf & Country Club

More about the role

The main purpose of the Assistant Night Manager role is to support the Night Manager with the smooth running of the hotel from 11.00pm to 7.00am daily. This is a hands on role requiring some general Night Porter duties as well as some Management activities.

Key responsibilities of the Assistant Night Manager include:

  • Reception duties: checking guests in and out of bedrooms, answering telephone calls and servicing all guest requests.
  • Running the night audit when the Night Manager is not on duty and additionally as and when requested.
  • Completing hotel walk rounds throughout the night ensuring security and fire safety, addressing and/or reporting any issues or shortfalls in standards.
  • Dealing with issues occurring at night which involves complaint handling and managing difficult people/ situations.
  • Clearing and setting up conference/ function rooms.
  • Basic food preparation and delivery of room service to guests.
  • Service of food and drink in the hotel bar after hours.
  • Leadership and management of the Night Team.
  • Ensuring all colleagues on duty are performing their job role and are working to the Hotel & Company standards, policies and procedures.
  • Conducting and managing evacuations of the whole hotel should the alarm sound during the Night.
  • Providing general customer service, ensuring complete guest satisfaction is achieved at all times.
  • Performing basic accounting activities to support our Finance department.

Salary and benefits:
