Food and Beverage  Manager - The Hermitage Hotel, Bournemouth

Food and Beverage Manager required for a 4* privately owned hotel in central Bournemouth. The restaurant offers a fine dining AA Rosette experience and this is an exciting time to join our friendly and expanding team.

The successful candidate will uphold the standards of the hotel, restaurant and bar area and will ensure our customers receive an exceptional dining experience.

This is a hands on, operational role, overseeing the daily operation of the hotel food and beverage outlets. You will be liaising between senior management and team members, to ensure that the highest level of customer service is being delivered and the expectations of our guests are consistently exceeded.

Main duties will include:

  • All operational responsibilities of the restaurant, room service and lounge bar.
  • Menu development and analysis in conjunction with the Head Chef.
  • Staff training and incentives.
  • Compilation of food and beverage promotional calendar and liaison with marketing team.
  • Weekly interaction with social media assistant to develop food and beverage sales opportunities.
  • Monitor sales and standards of up-selling delivered.
  • Create departmental objectives and benchmark monthly objectives.
  • Monitor and respond to customer reviews.

Experience required:

  • A minimum of 3 year restaurant or Food & Beverage management experience.
  • Experience in a 4* star hotel would be a distinct advantage.
  • A good understanding of operational needs, as well as experienced in guest profiling and recognition.
  • Strong organisational and problem solving abilities.
  • Exceptional service standards with attention to detail.
  • Leadership and delegation skills including the ability to train and mentor a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
