Chef de Partie - The Painswick

The Calcot Collection is a small privately owned company that is home to a portfolio of four acclaimed hotels. Not considering ourselves as a group, each of our hotels celebrates its own style and personality and offers a different and unique experience that is signature to their offering.

‘The Painswick’ is the latest addition to the Calcot Collection. Poised on a hillside in the pretty Cotswolds village of Painswick and positioned as a restaurant with rooms, (otherwise known as ‘Feasts and the Rest’) The Painswick is all about fantastic food, innovative thinking and fuss free hospitality.

We are currently looking for a Chef de Partie to join our team at The Painswick.
 

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Under the direction of the Head Chef, Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie, preparing and producing food as directed using modern methods, equipment, and fresh food.
  • Ensuring that the section operates effectively on a daily basis
  • Ensuring that all food cooked and served is of a high quality.
  • Maintaining sufficient level of mise en place for Lunch and Dinner service.
  • Ensuring that Staff meals are of a good wholesome and healthy standard.
  • Providing junior members of the kitchen team with support in training and development so that service and product delivery is consistent

Knowledge, experience and skills required:

  • NVQ Level 2 as a minimum
  • CIEH Level 2
  • 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Ability to demonstrate good food production
  • Ability to work under the pressure of a busy Kitchen
