Overall Objective: To ensure cleanliness throughout the kitchen areas and utensils.

Job Description

Main Objectives

• Washing of crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils
• Cleaning of all kitchen areas
• Removal of kitchen waste
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Comply with health and safety legislation
• Work within strict time lines

Summary of Duties

• All washing up from service and preparation periods
• Cleaning of kitchen areas and equipment
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness throughout the period of the shift
• To ensure all legal legislation requirements including health and safety, food safety and company policies
• To ensure kitchens and equipment are cleaned using cleaning schedule and ad-hoc cleaning requirements
• Close down kitchens at the end of shifts to a high standard
• Any reasonable management request

Person Specification

Essential

• Ability to work to strict guidelines
• Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
• Good customer service skills
• Good level of spoken English

Desirable

• Basic Understanding of COSHH
• Level 2 in food safety
