Salary: £20,000 gross per annum + Benefits

Scope & General Purpose of Job:

To provide guests and visitors to Sopwell House with an efficient and personal service whilst maintaining the consistency and continuity and strive to continually improve.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To develop new business and secure repeat business through building positive relationships with customers.
  • Specialise in weddings, special events and Christmas
  • Positively react to, manage and convert all enquiries that come through the Sales office.
  • Anticipate the needs of the guest and maximise sales opportunities
  • Understand the objective of the event and how we can exceed expectations for the organiser and guests.
  • To effectively contribute towards the success of both the department and hotel team
  • To strive towards achieving agreed targets.
  • To consistently deliver your duties in the spirit in which they were designed taking every opportunity to ensure our customers receive a memorable experience.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Good organisational and administration skills
  • Positive attitude and good communication skills
  • Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
  • Confident telephone manner
  • High level of IT skills
  • Excellent grooming standards
  • Previous experience in the Conference & Events function
  • Knowledge of the hotel property management systems (Delphi, Opera)
