Nestled within 12 acres of idyllic rural Hertfordshire countryside, Sopwell House is a four star country house hotel and spa, offering a luxury experience alongside impeccable service.

Sopwell House comprises of 128 rooms and suites, 15 flexible function/meeting rooms, a spa with 14 treatment rooms, a weights gym and techno-gym, two restaurants, a conservatory bar and cocktail lounge.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Conference & Events Co-Ordinator to join the Sopwell House Team.

Scope & General Purpose of Job:

To provide guests and visitors to Sopwell House with an efficient and personal service whilst maintaining the consistency and continuity to continually improve and strive for excellence under the general guidance and direction of the Conference & Events Manager; working within the Company’s standards policies whilst ensuring that procedures and departmental standards are implemented at all times.

The Conference and Events Co-ordinator will be responsible for organising and following up on all aspects of conference bookings according to the Company procedures, in addition to communicating all necessary information to other departments to ensure that guest requirements are fulfilled.

Essential Requirements:

  • Crucial to the role is your ability to converse with our guests in an engaging manner, a personable demeanour and an ability to anticipate and meet the requirements of all customers.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work in a busy fast paced environment whilst maintaining a positive, ‘can do’ attitude

Desirable Requirements:

  • Fully Delphi & Opera Trained
  • Past roles within Conference and Events co-ordination with a minimum of at least 2 years’ experience and a minimum 1 year Operational experience. 
  • Experience within the Hospitality Industry
