Salary – £ 14,976 gross per annum

Scope & General Purpose of Job:

To provide guests and visitors to Sopwell House with an efficient and personal service whilst maintaining the consistency and continuity and strive to continually improve.

Main Responsibilities:

• Greet all Guests and escort them to their allocated tables with menus and wine list;
• Answer all telephone calls an d deal with all Guest enquiries;
• Act as the guest service role model for the department, set a good example of excellent customer service and create a positive atmosphere for guest relations.
• Keep tidy the host/ess desk;
• Ensure that all the menus are ready at the desk prior each service;
• Demonstrate knowledge of the menus and wine list and readiness to answer any enquiries from the Guests;
• Assists the Supervisors and the servers on the floor during meal periods and high demand times;
• Handles guest problems and complaints;
• Meets with guests on an informal basis during meals or upon departure to obtain feedback on quality of food and beverage, service levels and overall satisfaction;

The successful candidate will have:

• Passion for food and beverage

• Previous experience in a similar environment

• Relish the pressure of a busy restaurant environment
