Area Manager - Bristol & Avon

Responsible to: Head of Operations

Salary: £32k, Bonus, Car, Laptop and Phone

Overview and Objectives:

MSGLife is a new franchisee of SNAP Fitness UK, operating within the 24/7 Fitness market within the UK.

As an Area Manager you will embrace the MSGLife vision in creating an exceptional member experience and profitable growth. You will be responsible for the financial, operational and customer experience within all clubs in your area. Leadership, guidance and development will form a vital part of the role to ensure that our culture and expectations as a business are met as well as the aspirations of your team.

Key accountabilities:

  • Operational responsibility for gyms, ensuring the highest standards are maintained.
  • Proactively drive sales and marketing performance.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service standards across the area.
  • Ensure the clubs are compliant with brand standards and company policies and procedures.
  • Undertake projects to support the business as and when required.
  • Deliver P&L profitability in line with budgets and targets
  • Recruit, train and develop the team of managers and assistant managers
  • Report data and performance daily, weekly and monthly
  • Ensure H&S policies are adhered to
  • Support pre sales and new club openings
  • Sales and Membership systems expertise
  • Increasing the length of membership to return profitable growth
  • Managing the overall membership within the area

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Multi-site management experience within the health and fitness industry.
  • Experience of driving a proactive sales led business.
  • Exposure to 5-star service standards.
  • An abundance of charisma, ambition and drive
  • A passion for fitness
  • Understanding of financial and budget planning. Understanding a P&L and forecasting
  • Corporate sales experience
  • Strong business acumen
  • Sound understanding of Health and Safety compliance
  • Understanding of HR procedures
  • Strategic mind
  • Knowledge of how to grow/develop sites
