What will I be doing?

As a Handyperson you will be responsible for the day to day maintenance of the hotel, repairing any items as reported by customers and of hotel staff. You will be required to carry out a daily tour of the hotel looking for possible areas that may need attention such as simple carpentry repairs to furniture and hotel fittings, basic electrics; repairing fuses, changing sockets, switches and light fittings.

Simple plumbing, e.g. clean blocked wastes, toilets, basins etc. clearing traps, rodding or removing obstacles. Changing tap washers and repairing toilet mechanisms will also be required.  You will take responsibility of clearing snow and ice from around the hotel and you will need to ensure that you keep a clear account of jobs completed and report any escalated problems to the Maintenance Manager

What are you looking for?

• Previous experience in DIY, Basic Carpentry, plumbing and/or electrical is essential
• Enthusiastic
• Able to work independently

We are looking for someone who has great attention to detail and who takes pride in what they do. You will work independently and therefore will need to be self motivated, have the ability to organise your time and prioritise your work load effectively. Whilst you will be working on your own it is essential that you have the ability to work part of a team and be willing to assist other departments where necessary and also have a passion for customer service!
