Lutterworth Sports Centre is managed by the Harborough District Leisure Trust in partnership with Serco Leisure Operating Limited and have a strong commitment to health, safety and quality and to the environment. 





We are currently recruiting for a Senior Leisure Assistant based at Lutterworth Sports Centre. The position is full-time (40 hours per week) on a shift rota including weekends. As the interface between customers and staff the Senior Leisure Assistant will ensure that service standards are met by the proper supervision of staff and effective and safe delivery of the Centre’s activity program.





Duties and Responsibilities:



- To provide clean, safe, warm, friendly and fun facilities and activities



- Coordinate staff and facility resources



- Carry out job training for Leisure Assistants to ensure effectiveness and the development of teams and individuals



- Contribute to the assessment of teams and individuals against training and development objectives



- Carry out cleaning duties



- Carry out lifeguarding duties



- Provide feedback on work performance to teams and individuals



- Create and enhance productive working relationships with staff, line managers and stakeholders



- Provide support and to the Duty Manager



- Provide support and input to the site operations teams



- To undertake any other duties appropriate to the post as may be assigned





Working Hours: 3 week rolling rota within the operational hours of the Centre.



Shifts will vary between 6:00am - 23:00pm on weekdays and 6:30am - 22:00pm on weekends.





Essential skills, Experience, Qualifications



- National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) essential



- First Aid at work desirable



- Pool plant operators desirable



- Previous experience working in a leisure environment with pool supervision
- Good customer care skills



- Good communication skills



- Health & Safety training/awareness



- An eagerness to progress
