Chef / Bar Team member - Rolls-Royce leisure association - Hucknall
Hours: 40 per week (includes shifts, evenings and weekends)
Responsible to: The Pavilion Manager
Job description:
This is a full-time position working approximately 40 hours per week dependent on the Business need. Hours/split shifts to be worked over lunchtimes, evenings and most weekends. We are looking for dedicated individuals who have a passion for customer service.
As a Chef you will be preparing food to order, whilst maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, safety and compliance with hygiene regulations at all times.
As a Bar Team Member at Rolls-Royce Leisure you will serve on either of our three bars for all occasions from weddings to wakes so you must be hard working and flexible.
Key responsibilities:
Kitchen:
- Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes
- Working with the Pavilion Manager to maintain high standards in the quality of both food preparation and presentation
- Assist the Pavilion Manager to develop new dishes and menus
- Ensure high standards of food hygiene, following health and safety policy
- Assist in checking suppliers’ deliveries and the accuracy of invoices
- Ensure food ingredients are stored and rotated correctly
- Liaise with the Event Manager with regard to service and timings
- Any other duties as reasonably required
Bar:
- Working with the bar team to maintain high standards in the quality of both presentation of the bar and the serving of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks
- Good customer service skills
- Cash handling experience
Preferred Skills/Knowledge:
- Experience working within a kitchen
- Experience in cooking and preparing food
- Experience working on a bar
- Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Willingness to be flexible with roles to include interaction with our customers
Desirable Qualifications:
- A current certificate in Food Hygiene
- Level 2 NVQ (or equivalent qualification) in a catering subject
