Your Role will Involve:

  • Attain prior to appointment and maintain throughout employment a nationally recognised pool lifeguard qualification
  • Undertake regular in house lifeguard training as arranged by club line manager
  • Maintain a sufficient knowledge of company emergency action, incident management and crisis management plans and support the process in each eventuality as directed by manager on duty   
  • Maintain a sufficient knowledge of company policy and procedures relating to poolside usage
  • Communicate effectively with bathers and in answering questions relating to poolside safety and enjoyment
  • Consistently feedback to line manager/Manager on Duty on shift experience & member interaction in a bid promote a better bather experience
  • Ensure bather adherence to company rules conditions of pool use
  • Conduct water based incident management as and when required whilst on shift
  • Undertake poolside cleaning and housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean environment
  • Support specialist pool activities such as swimming lessons, aqua-fit and family fun sessions by providing equipment and rigging & de-rigging the facility in accordance to activity procedures
  • Identify special populations and advise and direct accordingly to promote safety and enjoyment

Personal Specification

Must hold:

  • An R.L.S.S (nationally accredited) recognised qualification in life saving/guarding
