Ramside Hall Hotel is the largest privately-owned luxury hotel in County Durham and has built its reputation on offering good value and the personal touch. Formerly the home of the Pemberton family, this former country house was transformed into a hotel in 1963 and, since then, has continued to grow and is renowned for welcoming guests from across the globe. With an outstanding new Spa and championship golf courses Ramside is a true 4-star luxury destination hotel.

Hardwick Hall Hotel is a building of great historical significance and is listed on the English Heritage Register. A major part of it was built in the late 1700’s but it is possible that some of it dates back to 1634. It was the residence for many notable people for two centuries. Bought by the family it has become one of the region’s top hotels.

Bowburn Hall Hotel was built in the early 1960s. Originally the hotel was a Country House for the first colliery agent at the local mine. Converted to a hotel during the 1960s by the current owners, the hotel now has 19 comfortable bedrooms and is a desired venue for weddings and events.

Ramside Event Catering is part of the Ramside Estates Group and is one of the largest privately owned catering companies in the North East of England and was established in 1992.

We continue to invest and develop our presence in local bars and establishments within the North East, such as Bar Beyond Newcastle and the Pavilion Café at Alnwick Gardens.
