PlayFootball League Coordinator – PlayFootball at GLL Better venues

We are seeking League Coordinator’s to support the Senior Area Coordinator in delivering an unrivalled playing experience before during and after play. This role will be available in the following locations:

London (within M25), Cambridge, Reading and Welwyn Garden City

The role will primarily oversee the preparation and running of the adult football small sided leagues each evening and to positively contribute to the player experience.

The role is ideally suited to a strong character who is comfortable under pressure and well organised. The role gives you full responsibility of the evenings’ operation, coordinating and confirming teams kick off times on site and ensuring that all customers have paid prior to their matches kicking off.

You will liaise with the operations manager on any facility issues and ensure all admin and paperwork is ready in advance of the night’s trading, ensure the venue is fully stocked with balls and bibs which are always well maintained and clean. Being proactive is a must, dealing with any issues that come up.

You must hold an FA recognised refereeing qualification, previous experience is desired however not essential as full training can be given, you will also need to pass a full DBS check.

Due to the nature of the business, no two shifts are ever the same so an open and enthusiastic approach to the job is essential, as is the confidence to speak face to face with customers as well as over the phone.

PlayFootball develops products and services to players of all ages, genders and abilities. The most popular products include organised competitive leagues with on line results, fixtures and league tables, regular social pitch hire, team training, junior pay and play and children’s football parties. PlayFootball also has a growing number of Community based partners who use the facilities to deliver, through football, their own community specific objectives.

PlayFootball is fully accredited by the FA and adheres to the FA small-sided football guidelines. PlayFootball is a member of the FAs Small Sided Football strategic group which aims to support the development of small-sided football as part of an overarching FA strategy to build football participation levels in England.

PlayFootball hosts over 1.5 million player visits annually through its existing portfolio of centres across the UK and this is expected to double over the next 3 years to over 3 million player visits through a combination of organic growth, contract partnerships and new site developments. This growth requires a new calibre of general management that will focus on the growing demands of the operation and drive the commercial opportunity.
