Chef de Partie - Oyster Bay Park

The place

Just two minutes from our Oyster Bay Park in the picturesque village of Goonhavern, The New Inn offers the best in locally sourced, fresh food. A twist on the traditional Cornish pub, but still offering all the favourite classics. From Cornish cheese selections to handmade chive sausages, you’ll create dishes our Oyster Bay owners as well as locals and visitors will love. Food, service and overall experience has to meet our customer’s 5-star expectations.

The job

Assisting the Sous Chef/Head Chef to prepare excellent quality food that delights our customers, so building our reputation, sales and profitability. You obviously need to know your way around a kitchen and be skilled at using the tools of the trade. You’ll make sure your section is always ready for service and dishes are cooked to specification and standard throughout service. You’ll also put forward ideas for the menu, help in stock-taking, control wastage, ensure the hygiene and cleaning procedures are bang on and generally do all the things a CDP would normally do.

Experience

One years’ experience of working at a similar level, history of successful progression in catering, good craft skills, food hygiene certificate, GCSE Educated or above, NVQ/SVQ Level two or equivalent.

Contract

The contract is based on full time hours which will be discussed in more detail at interview stage.

This role is temporary for a period of six months.  

Pay

The pay is £8.50 per hour.
