The park

Located in North Wales, offering spectacular views of Snowdonia, Brynteg Holiday Park offers a variety of leisure activities for our customers to enjoy. 

The role

You’ll be working as part of the health and leisure team and will undertake a variety of daily tasks, ensuring our customers are enjoying the facilities provided.

You’ll help to schedule leisure activities and promote existing facilities to customers. With the support of the Leisure Complex Manager, you’ll organise and run leisure activities for the enjoyment of the holiday home owners on park. You’ll maintain enthusiasm and energy, delivering activities to the highest of standards, which in turn will encourage others to participate.

Safety is of vital importance around the pool; you’ll supervise the pool area, being focused and vigilant at all times, ensuring customers are enjoying the facilities in a safe manner and reacting to any possible situations speedily and calmly (only applicable to those who hold a valid National Pool Lifeguard qualification). You’ll also be responsible for undertaking vigorous cleaning duties, ensuring exceptional hygiene and cleanliness levels are maintained at all times.

On occasion you may also support on the leisure reception desk, making bookings and answering customer queries in a professional and courteous manner. You’ll maintain exceptional customer service standards, exceeding customer expectations and ensuring a great experience is provided.

You’ll take an active interest in the development of your own knowledge and are willing to undertake training relevant to the role when necessary.

About you

You are welcoming, approachable and professional. You’re a confident and clear communicator, enthusiastic, passionate about providing exceptional customer service, enjoy conversing with customers of all age groups and teaching others new skills. You are focused, vigilant, responsible and mature, patient, conscientious, reliable, cope well under pressure and are a great team player. You’re able to work using own initiative, are adaptable and able to make decisions.

Experience

Ideally, you’ll have previously worked in a similar environment, in which a number of leisure facilities and activities are offered to customers. Ideally, you will have a current National Pool Lifeguard qualification, in order to supervise swimmers in the pool area.

Previous experience of running both indoor and outdoor leisure activities would be advantageous, however we are also looking for people who have a passion for sports/leisure pursuits and who could bring their enthusiasm to the leisure complex. You’ll also be educated to GCSE level (or equivalent).

An enhanced DBS check will be required in order to undertake this role.

Pay

The pay is National Minimum Wage/National Living Wage.

Contract

The contract is based on zero hours. The majority of hours will be available on weekends and school holidays, however, hours could be based any day of the week as and when required.

The contract is temporary for a period of up to nine months.
