The park

Brynteg Holiday Home Park is open to both owners and holiday makers and is set in an outstanding location offering views of Snowdonia. You’d be working in the Country Club and the Lakeside Bistro. The Country Club is where our customers can relax over a superb meal, whilst the Lakeside Bistro holds our owner exclusive events, offering a variety of activities including family fun days and delicious barbecues. The overall experience should surpass the five-star expectations of our customers.

The job

Assisting the Sous Chef/Head Chef to prepare excellent quality food that delights our customers, so building our reputation, sales and profitability. You obviously need to know your way around a kitchen and be skilled at using the tools of the trade. You’ll make sure your section is always ready for service and dishes are cooked to specification and standard throughout service. You’ll also put forward ideas for the menu, help in stock-taking, control wastage, ensure the hygiene and cleaning procedures are bang on and generally do all the things a CDP would normally do. 

About you

You are friendly, sociable, confident, positive, reliable, trustworthy, professional, a great team player, want to learn, enjoy teaching others, are organised, meet deadlines, get the detail right, quickly understand what’s needed, want to excel, buzz on doing a great job and basically want to contribute to the success of the whole team.

Experience

One years’ experience of working at a similar level, history of successful progression in catering, good craft skills, food hygiene certificate, GCSE Educated or above, NVQ/SVQ Level two or equivalent.

Contract

The contract is based on 40 hours per week, requirements will be discussed in more detail at interview stage. Benefits such as holiday and pension are also on offer.

Pay

The pay is £8.00 per hour.
