Conference and Banqueting Assistant - Oatlands Park Hotel

Department: Food and Beverage

Reporting to: Department Supervisor

Main Purpose of the Job

  • The Food and Beverage Assistant is responsible for providing a friendly, welcoming and efficient service to all guests in line the hotel vision and values
  • To undertake bar and food service duties, including meeting, greeting and attending to guest needs
  • To build a good rapport with guests and resolve any complaints or issues in line with company standards
  • To be responsible for accurate and efficient processing of table orders and guest billing processes
  • To undertake all training as required.(First Aid, Health and Safety, Customer  Service
  • To serve food and drink in line with company standards (SOP) over breakfast, lunch and dinner sevice.

Qualifications - Desirable

  • Hospitality qualification or working towards

Skills/competencies - Desirable

  • Working Knowledge of POS Micros or equivalent
  • Customer Service trained and guest complaint handling
  • Fine dining experience
  • Wine and Spirit Service Experience

Knowledge - Essential 

  • A knowledge of  AA four star hotel standards

Experience

Required - Essential

  •  At least one year experience in a customer facing role

  • High standard of presentation and appearance

  • Open for direction, correction and training
  • Willingness to learn
