Due to increasing demands within the physiotherapy service, this post offers an exciting opportunity to work as a Senior Physiotherapist in a split role across Out-patients and In-patients at the Nuffield Hospital in Exeter. There is also the opportunity to implement and develop a new Women's & Men's Health Service, so experience in this area would be a desirable. The purpose of the role is to deliver high quality, effective, and joined up clinical care, tailoring assessment and treatment to suit individual needs.

You will be working within a multidisciplinary team, assisting the Physiotherapy Manager

About this Senior Physiotherapist role

Your main clinical duties and responsibilities will be:

* Ensure ongoing monitoring of the standard of treatment provided
* Ensure compliance with all professional, clinical and integrated governance standards and participate in clinical audit and other quality assurance processes
* Provide the clinical lead for the department within the area of clinical expertise, if required
* Utilise working hours with full clinical treatments where possible
* Ensure the procedures for referring patients to and from the clinic are always followed correctlyAll clinical records are accurately maintained and conform to all legal requirements.

This split role will be based on one site where you will:

* Manage a general out-patient MSK caseload including post-operative rehab, GP and consultant referrals, and corporate contracts
* Work in an in-patient setting with a predominantly elective orthopaedic caseload
* Liaise within the multi-disciplinary setting, including but not limited to consultants, nurses, theatre staff, and other support staff
* Have the potential to develop and implement a Women's & Men's Health Physiotherapy Service within the hospital
* Develop relationships with a variety of specialist consultant doctors

There is potentially excellent scope for this post to involve flexible working patterns. You will be required to participate in the CPD and in-service training. There will be a requirement to partake in the telephone triage service offered by Nuffield Health.

Your qualifications, experience, skills and values

With a BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent, you'll be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. And you'll have evidence of further professional training and continual professional development, reflecting your desire to develop as a practitioner.

You will have:

* A BSc Hons or equivalent in Physiotherapy
* MCSP membership
* HCPC membership
* Post qualification experience essential, with experience in musculoskeletal out patients
* Experience of working in an in-patient orthopaedic setting
* An ability to use an electronic patient record system and be computer literate
* Recent working experience within the UK
