Fitness Consultant

Female fitness instructor to cover a 1 year maternity leave.

Either a level 2 or 3 or possibly a trainee if it’s the right person

Needs to be over 18 years old.

40 hours per week 5 out of 7 including weekends.

Immediate start.

Reporting to:     SNF Manager

General Summary:

To ensure that the club is working professionally, constructively and efficiently. To give feedback to HOD, promote classes, programmes and gym challenges to keep members and colleagues motivated. To upsell all products and services and to use initiative to constantly enhance profile and encourage new memberships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build effective and appropriate member relationships through meaningful interaction via personal assessments, weight management, nutrition and programming in line with company and national guidelines.
  • Proactively work with all members and maintain your database to make sure members receive a minimum 6 weekly contact and review.
  • Take ownership and accountability of reasons of termination and proactively initiate and undertake remedial action where appropriate.
  • Ensure that the MYZONE, gym challenges and social events are promoted and maximised.
  • Promote and teach group exercise classes.
  • Report to the maintenance team all relevant issues.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for all members and guests.
  • Perform and monitor hygiene and cleaning checks daily and report to HOD or Assistant Manager any failures to adhere to any basic guidelines.
  • Manage customer feedback effectively; ensure any issues or compliments are escalated and dealt with appropriately to enable long term improvements in products and services.
  • Ensuring all leisure stock items are accounted for.
  • Deliver SNF written operationaland emergency procedures.
  • Proactively work as an integral team member towards the achievement of departmental financial and operational targets.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Previous experience within a customer focused role.
  • Be passionate about health and fitness and have the ability and desire to talk meaningfully and appropriately.
  • Level 2 Fitness qualification - Desirable
  • First Aid and Pool Plant Qualification - Desirable
