We urgently seek an experienced event and conference manager for a six month project- that may lead to a permanent opportunity for the North West area. Can be based Manchester or Liverpool- car driver essential. Attractive salary 35K PA on pro rata basis.

Position Summary:
Administers unit, directs team, and monitors operations and finance. Maintains client customer relations. Co-ordinates personnel planning, training and development. Complies with company policies and procedures.
To manage the day to day operational activities of the conference and events department in a professional, flexible and pro-active manner and to provide the highest standards of service to our clients and their guests.
Key tasks and responsibilities
Maintain control and accounting procedures
* Manage weekly / monthly stock takes
* Check that all supplies are a specified quality and not breaching purchasing policy as outlined by Purchasing
* Monitor portion numbers, control food wastage on site and take appropriate action as required
* Maintain a financial information system as required by the contract caterer and client
* Monitor the monthly trading account with the Hospitality GM to ensure that the budgeted gross and net profits are achieved
Prepare reports on unit budget
* Assist Hospitality GM in setting the Annual Budget for the Unit
* To ensure that all financial weekly / monthly returns are submitted at the appropriate times in the correct manner
Maintain quality and safety standards on property
* Maintain a high standard of hygiene in respect of premises, staff and food handling and ensure that all staff members attend the company hygiene training
* Liaise with the quality & safety team in relation to incidents/accidents/emergencies on site
* Ensure the unit adheres to the Food Hygiene Regulations and Food Hygiene Regulations and any other relevant legislation particularly HACCP
* To be aware of preventative maintenance of equipment to ensure the smooth running of the operation at all times
