Head of Membership Sales

Salary – £22,000 - £25,000 plus OTE

Location – Victoria, London

The role

As the sales focused DCM you will be a vital member of the management team. Your role is to combine your skills and passion for fitness, with your customer service and sales techniques to attract and retain members. You will be proactive, organised and driven to achieve goals. With a detailed understanding of our product, the local market and how best to achieve membership targets, you will provide direction and support the Membership Advisors to motivate them to be successful and achieve their targets. Plus you will work closely with the Reception team to generate leads and provide the best possible experience for all visitors.

  2. To take responsibility in contributing to the research, planning and delivery of lead generation initiatives that drives the achievement of new member targets.
  3. To play an active part in the achievement of People, Service, Legal and Commercial objectives as a member of the management team.
  4. To have active involvement in and knowledge of other departments and duties for you to be the Duty Manager on average 2 shifts per week ensuring that you are visible and active at peak times and networking with as many members and instructors as possible.
  5. To continually improve your knowledge by keeping up to date with industry trends and seek further training and guidance from GM, Regional Sales Manager and National Support Departments.
  6. To manage cash honestly, appropriately and in line with company policy
  7. To be an active member of the team that uses the facilities and develops product knowledge to be able to answer member queries where possible.
  8. To work as part of the team to ensure all areas are routinely kept, clean, tidy, well maintained and company Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times.

  1. Personal contribution to club revenue targets – sales and additional spend.
  2. Achievement of payroll and operating budgets.
  3. Club corporate audit score – Legal, Service and Commercial.
  4. Operations compliance.
  5. Performance against personal monthly objectives & personal sales contribution.
  6. Personal behaviour and actions matches the spark values.

What do I need?

  1. A vibrant personality and a drive for fitness and sales.
  2. Qualified in EFA, Defib, ER & Pool Ops or willing/able to become qualified within 3 months.
  3. Experience in the industry or transferable skills and strong track record in supporting a commercially driven successful team.
  4. The ability to learn and take on General Manager responsibilities in their absence.
  5. Passion for brand standards, service and cleanliness.
  6. Be willing and able to attend all company training as required.
