About the Pub -
The Great Baddow Barn is located in the little village of Galleywood and has under gone a recent rebranding to Hungry Horse in June 2016. It is a 600 year old, grade 2 listed barn conversion with a Wacky Corner and great outside al fresco dining area. Chelmsford City centre is just 2 miles away meaning there are great train links as well as local bus service. Transport by car is very good as we are just off the A12.
Hungry Horse is all about great customer service, great value and great people. So, if you are an experienced hospitality professional from restaurants or pubs, you will understand the importance of delivering exceptional customer service and being part of a fantastic team.
If you have experience in a branded, high-volume restaurant or pub group, this position of Kitchen Manager may be what you are looking for to take the next step on the career ladder.
Your Key Responsibilities will be to manage the opening and closing of the kitchen, prepare, cook and present food to company specification, keep the kitchen clean, tidy and hygienic at all times, maintain accurate food ordering and stocking levels, including kitchen materials, manage all kitchen – related office administration and third-party contractors, assist in delivering financial targets set for the house, manage wastage and train and develop staff.
