Housekeeping Manager - Finlake Holiday Resort, Devon

Position Description

Finlake is Haulfryn's largest holiday park with 350 luxury holiday homes and over 100 hot tubs that are maintained by our housekeeping team. 

We are looking for an inspirational leader who can lead our housekeeping and hot tub team, deliver great accommodation and provide our customers with the highest of standards of cleanliness. First impressions really count and you'll make sure they are consistently impressive from the moment a customer arrives until they leave, having enjoyed a brilliant stay.

You will report to the Operations Manager, and will be part of the senior management team. You will lead the team to ensure that all accommodation and hot tubs are cleaned to the company standard. Super organized and committed to the highest standards, you'll be all about enabling your team. That includes helping new people to find their way and established team members to develop their skills and knowledge through ongoing training and development. Everything you do, from managing laundry through to making sure everything works to controlling the deep cleaning schedule, will impact on a customer's enjoyment so you'll be relentlessly focused on ensuring they enjoy the best possible experience.

Ideally, you'll have experience gained in a similar role or environment. You will have an understanding of housekeeping operations, health and safety and working efficiently. However most importantly a flexible, adaptable approach, clear customer focus and an eye for detail as well as being able to lead and motivate a large team. We aim to offer friendly and informal, yet 5* service to our holiday home owners and holiday makers, so setting and delivering those standards will be essential.
 
Required Experience

You must possess outstanding customer service skills with strong organisational and interpersonal skills enabling you to integrate effectively as part of a close team and offer excellent customer service.

• Minimum 2 years' experience of management, ideally within the hotel or holiday industry
• Proven ability of recruiting and training teams
• Pool plant qualification would be an advantage or willingness to learn the water management of hot tubs
• Proven record of creative solutions to customer suggestions and concerns. 
• Self-motivated, adaptable, an excellent team motivator and team builder. 
• Quality management in accordance with company standards
• Effective at cost control, keeping wages, uniforms and laundry within budget 
• Ability to nurture a good working relationship with other departments, such as reception and maintenance 
• Time management skills so you can juggle your responsibilities
• Attention to detail   
• Health and safety awareness
• Works well under pressure with deadlines and targets 
• Computer literate, word and excel 
• Excellent written and verbal English

Hours: 45 hours per week 5 days over 7 including weekends to suit the needs of the business. We're exceptionally busy in school holidays and the expectation is that you will need to be in the business at these times
