Assistant Manager/ess

In this role you will require the ability to assist the General Manager and in the day to day running of the business. You will have responsibilities for cash & stock each day, while also assisting with weekly stock takes. You will be professional, organised and be able to assist the senior management team in leading and inspiring the team.

This is a perfect opportunity for you if you are looking to further your development into a more senior managerial role and then further into General Management.

You will have previous experience in a food environment, preferably with a chef background of at least 1-2 years, be out going with a bubbly personality and strive to provide excellent customer service every time. You will be a natural host; someone that has charisma and confidence to lead from the front and engage both customers and their team.

Main responsibilities:

To assist the management in the day to day running of:

  • Delivering excellent customer service, at all times.
  • To pay attention to detail in all aspects of the customer journey.
  • Serve and present food and beverages, quickly and efficiently, meeting house standards and record sales in the companies EPOS (tills) system.
  • Ensure the bar, front-of-house and toilets are clean and tidy, at all times.
  • Keep up to date with current promotions and new products
  • Make customers aware of offers on our accommodation, food, drink and any upcoming special events.
  • Deal with customer complaints in a professional manner.
  • Responsible alcohol retailing awareness for staff and customers
  • Have a flexible approach to working hours.
  • Be responsible for evacuation, in cases of emergency, acting as first point of contact for the team, guests and the emergency services.
  • Ensure that the bar operations comply with all the company's and statutory requirements including Health and Safety at Work Act, etc Licensing Hours and Food Hygiene Regulations.
  • Be involved and contribute at team meetings.
  • Carry out instructions given by the management team and head office
  • Adhere to company values.
  • Cellar experience an advantage as is a personal licence
