Party Host - Leisure Centre

We are looking for the best Party Host to make things happen for our customers at Hillingdon Sports & Leisure Complex in Uxbridge. The role is part time working 2-6 hours per week on weekends, paying £7.11 per hour.

You will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and working with a diverse and dynamic team within a fast paced environment.

The company

We work in collaboration with our partners in your community to provide recreational sport, health and fitness activities. A registered charity, we formed in April 2000 with a handful of facilities in Southwark. Since then we have consistently made a surplus (profit) each year which means we have been able to put that back into improving our facilities. We now have nearly 80 facilities nationwide including swimming pools and health and fitness centres and even an ice rink, an outdoor sports centre and indoor bowls centres.

The role

You will be responsible for:

* delivering consistent and exceptional Party service standards to customers.
* generating ideas to assist in developing the Birthday Party operations and product but also developing new ideas and initiatives for party games you deliver.
* working co-operatively, supporting the team in all aspects of the Centres operation.
* making certain the Party tea area is a safe and well presented area.
* ensuring the Party Tea Area is secure and maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and repair at the end of the party. Break down and put away all tables and chairs in a safe fashion, sweep / mop / hoover the floor where necessary, empty bins and restore the liners where necessary.
* organising and supervising the party during the 1 hour's activity, ensuring a cost effective party is delivered which meets the needs of the customers.
* preparing and administering an organised activity with suitable games according to the party type and age group the party is catering for.

The candidate

The experience and background you will need is:

* Experience of customer care preferably in a fast paced customer facing environments
* Experience in hospitality or service industry (preferred but not essential)
* Understanding of and commitment to Equal Opportunities and managing diversity
* Ability to work outside office hours, including evenings, weekends, public holidays with flexibility of location
* Experience of working with children
