Are you the best at what you do?

We are looking for the best General Manager to make things happen for our customers at Leatherhead Leisure Centre in Mole Valley. The role is full time, working 40 hours per week paying £40-45K per annum.

You will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and developing a diverse and dynamic team within a fast paced environment.

The Company

We work in collaboration with our partners in your community to provide recreational sport, health and fitness activities. A registered charity, we formed in April 2000 with a handful of facilities in Southwark. Since then we have consistently made a surplus (profit) each year which means we have been able to put that back into improving our facilities. We now have nearly 80 facilities nationwide including swimming pools and health and fitness centres and even an ice rink, an outdoor sports centre and indoor bowls centres.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

* contributing to the delivery of Fusion's vision and strategy
* guiding the overall provision of services, policies and programmes to ensure the centre achieves its targets and objectives
* implementing, reviewing and reporting on the Centre's Annual Service plan and ensuring it is properly understood by the centre's management team and employees
* ensuring the development and implementation of, and compliance with, the centre's annual financial plans
* supporting the overall process of management and corporate decision making to ensure the centre maximises its short, medium and long term profitability
* ensuring the centre is properly resourced so that it is able to effectively and efficiently deliver the development plan and contractual terms and conditions
* implementing, maintaining and managing an effective system of controls throughout the centre covering both financial and non-financial aspects of the business
* providing clear leadership with regards to compliance with all health and safety procedures and requirements, fixing or escalating issues as appropriate.
* ensuring that appropriate standards of conduct are established and complied with at all times.
* ensuring the centre fully complies with all relevant legislation and best practice
* ensuring customer, third party and client relationship management processes and procedures are fully implemented in the centre

The Candidate

The experience and background you will need is:

* First Aid at Work qualification
* Pool Plant Operator qualification
* Significant management experience in the leisure or hospitality sector
* Experience of recruiting, developing and performance managing staff
* Clear understanding of all aspects of financial planning
* Knowledge of health and safety and employment legislation and best practice
