We are looking for the best Head Swimming Teacher to make things happen for our customers at Wavelengths and Glassmill Leisure Centres in the Lewisham Division. The role is full time working 40 hours per week across the two centres, paying £23,000 per annum.

You will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and working with a diverse and dynamic team within a fast paced environment.

The company

We work in collaboration with our partners in your community to provide recreational sport, health and fitness activities. A registered charity, we formed in April 2000 with a handful of facilities in Southwark. Since then we have consistently made a surplus (profit) each year which means we have been able to put that back into improving our facilities. We now have nearly 80 facilities nationwide including swimming pools and health and fitness centres and even an ice rink, an outdoor sports centre and indoor bowls centres.

The role

You will be responsible for:

* the smooth daily operations of the division's swim school and school swimming programmes, maximising usage and income.
* Manage, develop and monitor the implementation and administration for both the School Swimming and Learn to Swim programmes in order to meet the requirements of the National Curriculum and ASA National Plan for Teaching, including preparing lesson plans and a comprehensive scheme of work
* Carry out and supervise swim school related housekeeping tasks in accordance with centre cleaning schedules.
* Assist in the effective operations of the activity of the swim school programme by teaching as required, as agreed with General Manager.
* Mentor and develop all swimming teacher / coaches in accordance with ASA continual professional development programme.
* Assist in the communication, sales, marketing and promotion of the swim school programme and associated outreach and development work
* Comply with the ASA Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct at all times
* Ensure all concerns of a child safeguarding nature are referred in a timely and appropriate manner, in accordance with Fusion's Safeguarding policy.
* Maintain own mandatory qualifications, licensing and CPD/ training requirements.

The candidate

The experience and background you will need is:

* ASA Full Teachers Certification Level 2
* Current IOS license
* Experience of supervising a team including training, development, appraisals, performance management and mentoring staff
* Experience of teaching a diverse customer base
