We are looking for the best Swim Instructor to make things happen for our customers at Wavelengths Leisure Cntre in Lewisham. The role is on a casual basis, working ad hoc hours (as a when needed), paying £13.50 per hour.

You will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and working with a diverse and dynamic team within a fast paced environment.

The company

We work in collaboration with our partners in your community to provide recreational sport, health and fitness activities. A registered charity, we formed in April 2000 with a handful of facilities in Southwark. Since then we have consistently made a surplus (profit) each year which means we have been able to put that back into improving our facilities. We now have nearly 80 facilities nationwide including swimming pools and health and fitness centres and even an ice rink, an outdoor sports centre and indoor bowls centres.

The role

You will be responsible for:

* undertaking sessions according to the programme timetable, ensuring classes commence and finish at the designated times.
* ensuring the efficient and effective operation of sessions, responsible for equipment set up and security, where appropriate.
* carrying out all administrative tasks associated with the position, including lesson plans, schemes of work, class registers and continuous assessment of pupils
* supporting primary and secondary schools teachers in delivering effective lessons during school booking times
* preparing lesson plans and a comprehensive scheme of work that meets the requirements of the National Curriculum and ASA Learn to Swim Framework for teachers
* complying with the ASA Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct at all times
* ensuring all concerns of a child safeguarding nature are referred in a timely and appropriate manner, in accordance with Fusion's Safeguarding policy.

The candidate

The experience and background you will need is:

* ASA Full Teachers Certification Level 2
* Current IOS license
* Experience of teaching a diverse customer base
* Experience of successfully mentoring/supporting colleagues
* Understanding of relevant health and safety legislation
* Excellent verbal communication skills

This role is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
