Cafe Manager, Guildford Spectrum, up to £23,336.48

What will you be doing?

Guildford Spectrum has launched an exciting new venture to manage the onsite catering facilities which include a coffee shop and 2 fast food outlets.  We are looking for a Cafe Manager to manage the Spectrum Cafe.  Your responsibilities will include:

  • Directly manage the cafe outlet at Guildford Spectrum, providing the highest standard food and drink
  • Manage the P&L to generate a surplus
  • To supervise and manage the cafe staff on a daily basis
  • To contribute to the setting of key targets
  • Manage the staff rota system
  • Manage cost effective portion and stock control
  • Offer cover support to the other catering outlets

What are we looking for?

You will be a sales minded person, motivated by meeting monthly targets, you will have an in depth knowledge on food safety, be flexible in your approach to work and have excellent customer service skills. 

You will need to hold a valid Basic Food Hygiene and catering related qualification.  You will also need a good level of education to include English and Maths at GCSE level.

Your background will include previous supervisory experience, previous employment in the catering industry and ideally a similar role in a branded cafe/coffee shop chain. 

Your skills will include the ability to establish key relationships quickly and to manage a staff team.
