Duty Manager (Fixed Term)
The Guildford Lido
Fixed Term: 6 month contract 01 st April – 21 st September 2015
Hours: 37 hours a week Monday – Sunday on a rota basis
Salary: £17,653.40 - £20,323.43 per annum pro-rata depending on experience
We are looking for a Duty Manager to assist in all aspects of running the Guildford Lido, supervising staff and operations. Reporting to the Lido Manager, your responsibilities will include:
You will have considerable experience in the Leisure Industry including staff supervision. It is essential that you can manage several priorities at once, working effectively under pressure ensuring a high quality service is provided at all times. The Lido is an original 1930’s open air pool therefore wet side experience would be ideal. You must hold or have the ability to gain, an NPLQ and Pool plant operator’s certificate. Full training can be provided. You must be a strong swimmer as certain aspects of the job will involve work in the water.
NPLQ course date: 30 th March – 3 rd April 2015. Pool plant TBC

- Acting as a key holder responsible for locking & unlocking the site
- To lifeguard & supervise lifeguarding activities, ensuring sufficient staff & resources
- To assist in the operation of pool filtration, testing, dosing & heating the pool
- To assist in supervising the gym
- To assist in administrative duties necessary to operate the service (cashiering, bookings etc)
- Accountable for the supervision and welfare of all staff
- Maintaining a high quality pool environment
